This publication proved the most popular of Gould's works with 394 subscribers and perhaps as many as 500 copies produced.  This was issued in twenty-five parts between the years 1862-1873 and featured the very familiar names of Gould, Richter, Wolf and Hart as the artist's involved.  The printing was done by Walter or Walter & Cohn and these prints continue today as among the most favorite to collectors.
